This is a forgotten star-studded gem! One of Arnold's early movies, and an uproarious slapstick comedy. It is part Western parody and part live-action cartoon: and when I say cartoon, I mean good old-fashioned Saturday morning Coyote-Road Runner mayhem. Even down to using the gag of painting a tunnel on a cliff wall which . . . well, I'm sure you know.

Mel Tillis makes a cameo as the telegraph agent. Tillis was well-known as a country singer who spoke with a pronounced stammer, and in this, he completely indulges his impediment to deliver a Porky Pig-like performance. If there is any doubt as to the intentions of this movie, two other characters are named Parody Jones and Avery Simpson: saluting animation legends Chuck Jones and Tex Avery, and played by legendary Western character actors Strother Martin and Jack Elam, respectively. 

Rounding out the cast are appearances from comedic legends Ruth Buzzi, Foster Brooks, and Paul Lynde. Ruth Buzzi was a regular on "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In", Brooks made regular rounds of the late-night talk show circuit in his character as a barely-coherent drunk, and Paul Lynde was a flamboyant character actor who is best known as Uncle Arthur on "Bewitched" and later as himself on "The Hollywood Squares". 

And, of all people, film legend Kirk Douglas as incompetent bad guy Cactus Jack: basically Wile E. Coyote in a human suit.
